Luxury Hotels in Miami

Miami is a lively and buzzing beach-side city in Florida, United States. The Miami beach is amongst the most famous in the world because of its clear seas, white soft sands, friendly neighborhoods, gorgeous buildings, and buzzing nightlife. Miami also has a very heavy Cuban immigrant population, and as such the Cuban cultural influence in Miami is palpable, with several boutique shopping centers and cigar shops available in localities like Little Havana. When visiting Miami, you have to stay in a luxury five star hotel that can help you immerse into the culture. In this article we’ve taken the liberty to describe the top 10 luxury hotels in Miami.

# 1

Four Seasons Hotel Miami

The Four Seasons is perhaps one of Miami’s most luxurious five star hotels, and is definitely the tallest building that Miami can boast of. It is located near Biscayne Bay. The rooms feature a stunning wide view of the lagoon. The general ambience of the hotel is quite calm, laid-back, and peaceful, as opposed to the heady world of pleasures offered by the city of Miami. As such, this is ideal for those who want to experience the life of Miami, but then return to a quiet resort-like atmosphere in order to relax and unwind. This luxury hotel has the privilege of being one of Miami’s AAA Five Diamond hotels, setting it way above the other five-star hotels in terms of class and style.

# 2

Mandarin Oriental Miami

This is a world famous five star luxury hotel located in an island enclave called Brickell Key, which is set off away from the financial center of the city and thus offers a true escape. However, even though it’s a resort retreat, it’s still quite close to some of the nightclubs and other restaurants in the area, so you can easily dine out and have a fun night out, and then come back to the peace of your charming room! Amongst its many attractions is the fact that it features one of the most charming Peruvian restaurants in Miami, and a grand spa. In keeping with its name, the luxury hotel embodies a very Asian aesthetic complete with dark mahogany wood, glossy marbled pillars and floors, a plethora of bronze sculptures to deck the hallways, and full-length floor to ceiling windows from which you get a stunning view of the bay. There are over 300 rooms in the whole hotel and they are all very spacious and have large bathrooms with tubs that you can completely immerse into. The general color palette of the rooms is warm with honey and cream shades. All the rooms are stunning, however if you get a suite you can find yourself in a spa-like bathroom with a sprawling view of the bay or the city, depending on the room. If you’d like to sunbathe by the beach, there is a bayfront beach with cabanas where you can lay back and relax.

The hotel is a mixing pot of various artistic and stylistic influences across the globe and across several time periods. You can spot influences ranging from European Rococo, Modern minimalism, and even a few East asiatic strains. The spa has been designed by Philippe Starck, who has created a vast angular marble clad pool that is surrounded by a library! The building itself is 50 storey tall, with glass walls and exteriors. The rooms mostly feature a cool grey and mint color palette, which is ideal to keep things looking fresh and neutral. The view from the hotel is stunning, as you get a panoramic sight of the Miami river. The furniture bears eccentric details such as the driftwood canopy bed-frames, and they also come with large balconies from which you can look out. The bathroom has been decked up with plush comfortable bath robes and luxurious toiletries, and the general color palette is a mix of green, black, and white marble tiles.

# 5

# 7

Kimpton EPIC Hotel

The biggest attraction of this luxury hotel is the fact that it features not one, but two rooftop pools. The Kimpton EPIC has a lot to live up to considering its self-proclamation of being EPIC. However, the hotel definitely lives up to that name, and is generally considered to be one of the more hip, and fun places to be in Miami. The decor is minimalist, but they mostly focus on making the guests feel like they’re out on the beach rather than in a hotel, and as such all the walls are made of glass, and the hotel has a great many private terraces.

Everything in this hotel is large and oversized, the bathrooms, the rooms, lobbies, everything. The amenities offered by the hotel are so sweeping in nature — tennis courts, basketball courts, bowling alleys, theaters, restaurants, etc — that you can literally live out your days right there in perfect contentment, without having to set foot in the world outside.

# 12

Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay

One of the great things about this hotel is that they offer a free airport shuttle service so you don’t have to bother with local taxis.

# 15

Mayfair Hotel & Spa

This trendy hotel is located 11 miles from South Beach, so it’s quite remote from all the prime tourist attractions. However, it’s located on Coconut Grove which is one of the most laid-back and casual spots in all of Miami so if you’re looking for some chill boating experiences, or if you want to simply relax, this is the place for you. If you’d like to indulge in a bit of shopping, you can walk over to the CocoWalk shopping plaza as well. The interiors of the hotel are also well designed with stylistic influences from across the globe. The floors are made in Spanish tiles, and they feature Tiffany stained-glass windows, and the entire hotel gives off a vibrant Old Florida vibe. The rooms are all quite spacious and well lit with natural light. The floors are all stone paved, with marble clad bathrooms, replete with soaking tubs and Roman-styled spas! The rooms are all charming in their own rights, though they’re not particularly unique in any way. They also feature their own private balconies if you’d like to sunbathe from the comfort of your own hotel room.
